I run Debian, all this stuff works here. Don't know about Fedora. RH
does some weird stuff, so YMMV.
Try gMFSK for MT63 ... and a slug of other neat modes including Olivia.

Try running either "sndconfig" (for OSS) or "alsaconf" (for alsa). RH
may play by different rules. If you're running KDE, make sure the
sound system is enabled.
you'll either have to be "root" or do it sudo.
