Oh Dear, I seem to have upset Warren. I have never seen him react so strongly.
Actually Warren it had nothing to do with a fuel shortage.
The article was all to do with big financial losses being made by airlines.
It also reported that because of fuel costs Continental had reported that
96 flights accross from London had fuel level problems when arriving at New York
If the use of 757s because it is easier to fill with passengers and uses less
fuel then that is a good move.
I am sure that they left with the required extra fuel for a diversion but if
as the article suggests unexpected head winds became a problem was the 96 fligh
ts running into their diversion fuel ?

If not then why would Continental make the report ?
