Hi Bob and all,

There, that'll get their attention! (;->) Oh good grief man, read between
the lines. A press release can't possibly be anything BUT media spin!
First, it comes from the government so consider the source, second it's
intended for public consumption via the media. I used that word because
we call such "pablum" as it's spoon fed mush fed to babies, you get the
analogy. (Oh don't criticise my grammar, I just realized my mistake, hi.)

Granted there is less pollution with lighter hydrocarbons than heavier
ones but the relative ammount is besides the point I was making. That's
the cover story, the actual reason is cost or in other words market value
dictated by the rule of supply and demand. You have plenty of gas while
other sources are more limited and much is imported so when you add it
all up the cost is much higher. Simple logic, you don't need a PhD in BS
to add one and one and come up with two.

AHA! You say it stinks like petrol does (I'll bet it smells better) which
blows the pollution angle right out of the water although after the fact.
American cars since the 70s have been equipped with anti pollution
devices in addition to lowering the compression which lowers the flame
temperature. The latter being to reduce nitrous emissions, the very first
step toward reducing smog which BTW started in California due to the soup
that still remains in the Los Angeles Basin. Rather than boring you with
the function of each device I'll skip to the latest, catylitic (sp?)
converters at the head end of the exhaust system. They're "afterburners"
in a literal sense, they "burn" off unused hydrocarbons. Once up to
operating temperature the exhaust no longer stinks, in fact it has very
little odor at all.

Now do I really need to tell you the government is feeding you pablum
rather than facing the issue head on with truth and mandating pollution
control as ours has? Alright, I just have so here's a bit of my usual
sarcasm, what stinks down under is exhaust of a different flavor.

Oh no need to catch frogs, they've been getting some much needed rest
doing their little froggy things down at the pond. Like I wrote to Ian
and the rest I've been here alive and well all along looking at the bulls
list day after day and finding nothing of interest. Well, that is until
you surfaced and caught a frog square on the noggin, you forgot your
periscope! GOTCHA, the USS New Jersey was lurking above and you never saw
it coming.

Meanwhile I've been stirring up trouble on the internet, a recent troll
caught a VK4, VE3, G4, and a couple of domestic 4s in my net. Same as
packet Bob so be careful, the 'Jersey cruises in some unexpected
waters... or beers as it happens to be this time. HA HA, you got it, the
frogs from Beerwah strike again! Oh, now I'm a "racist" for calling you
guys Ozzies, one of you blokes thought Ozzie Ozborn. (;->)
