Deisel stinks???? You obviously haven't put your nose near a MODERN,
electronically controlled (RF polluting instead) heavy vehicle, road
transport industry exhaust pipe lately.
Quite seriously, they have been so blasted busy trying to bend over and/or
pacify the "general public" who b/s to themselves that they are well
informed (usually through internet "research") that they are now impinging
on my enjoyment of HF!!!!!!!!!!!!! They have, however, satisfied the
"warm, fuzzy feelings" of these people by reducing soot, smoke and SMELL
to the extent that modern (heavy) deisels are vastly better than your 1/4
tonne rice burners. Shame that per unit of fuel consumed there is far less
"nasties" but that CONSUMPTION has proportionally increased!
That makes sense, doesn't it? Keep the public and the pseudo
intellectuals happy but consume more of a precious and non re-newable
commodity! <Grin>
As an aside, I put the TS480HX on board the old girl as I got sick of the
wait for the new truck. The noise has proven to be as bad as I predicted.
In fact, it is blooming horrendous!!!!!!!
I am NOT, however, gonna do too much with it because I have now actually
seen the replacement truck and should be in it within a week or so.
THAT'S when I will be trying to reduce popping! Wish me luck!
