Ageed Bob,
Just in the last few days there has been a lot of moaning that
Australia has the greatest amount of CO2 per head from our power stations.
The greenies forgot to mention that the countries that had lower levels had
nuclear power stations as well.
Re the cost of nuclear, I suspect tha solar thermal might well be a lot
cheaper. They melt salt so as to store the molten salt for night time
generation and it can be retrofitted to coal fired power stations.
The Liddel power station North of Newcastle has an experimental solar
thermal installation, but I have not heard of further progress.
