Hi Ray and others
It all started out when I noticed that the ratings on my gas heater were
in
BTU's and the gas bill was in Megajoules.
I wrote a little conversion program and then for fun tried to add in the
carbon emission figure (and yes I know I need to get out a bit more)
Took me a while of trying to debug the undebuggable before I realised the
ratio I was using calculated from the gas bill wasn't consistent from bill
to bill.
A search of the internet told me how naughty I was using gas and trying to
actually get some "facts" about carbon emissions instead of believing the
pundits, but those selfsame facts seemed in short supply.
Being a ham and used to scientific facts I thought that carbon emission
was
science not "art" ....aah well..sigh...
Regards Tony
