Hi Peter and all,
The move is becoming difficult in the timing AND help departments,
delays, ugh. My telephone service gets switched on Wednesday and the DSL
within the following week but naturally won't coincide with moving the
computer. I'll be off the radar but when and for how long is iffy. If
you're confused, I'm insane.
No, that modified DeLorian remark was a bit off-hand, notice the date of
the expo and connect it with a flux capacitor. I did se a DeLorean once,
quite a remarkable laquered stainless steel finish and generally oddball
design. It like the Brick had electric door openers, my "heavy hatchback"
remark was sarcasm for the AMC's mini struts that never worked.
I remember a guy in Menlo Park Edison Twp. not far from the light bulb
who installed a hoist in his garage for his Rambler restoration hobby. I
remember the American and Classic, the nearly indestructable Nash Rambler
legacy. That's right, Nash started it all and became Rambler. That might
be compared to GM if the Chevrolet Impala became Impala Motors in itself.
I remember cutting my leg on an exposed gear mechanism under the folding
front seat back when getting in the rear of my uncle's Nash Rambler,
thank goodness it was the only car built with that lousy design. BTW, the
Rambler guy was Tom Thum, father of my CB buddy Glen. Now before you
laugh too hard it's pronounced "thoom". (;->)
My AMC had electric wipers, I don't remember vacuum actuators beyond the
late 50s long before AMC came into being. I remember our 1950 Biscayne
that sounded like Darth Vader with a cold.
In White Castle you don't have to look over customers' shoulders, the
grille is right behind the counter where you can see steaming cow pies
and smell them too. Right then and there you'd lose your apetite, you're
not a high schooler being challenged to an eating contest by your mates.
Yeah, they do that and how they survive is beyond my imagination.
