Yeah ... yawn...G'day downunder...how'd you know I was

Yeah, Maria remembered the car, as well the region and
changed from VW to FIAT, and then told me the story of
how so many Italians arrived in Brasil, and why.
But you are right...as this reply is based upon two postings
from you ....

Thats my thoughts up here too. Friday's rush started at
2:00PM, and wth it the auto crashes on the highway going north
to cottage country. And I guess the weekend warriors here
will call it quits in...hmmm November. Then our small spot
goes back to a ghost town..or use to be until cottages
used i summer were converted into year round residences
and then there are the new homesbeing built...million dollar
ones and they predict now we will more then double in our
population after the new developments are built and sold.

Yikes! Thats what I felt here in the 1980s. I think
when winter came we had 1,000 people tops. So many houses
or cottages then were closed for the winter....one street
was like a ghost street..all were closed. Now it is hot tubs
and pools in some backyards. aaah yes the beaches and parks
quiet and open...but not now.
I am glad you are going to be happy with your new place,
and I hope whatever they replace your old home with, will
be a good addition to the area, rather then a blight.

You could of just put in *****Telenet disconnected and
saved face <grin>. Aaah yes the FIAT .... the same car
yes like a Russian car called the LADA .... and what a
tank still a bummer.
When I worked in one place, there was a really nice chap
that had the small convertible sports model of FIAT.
The problem in the winter time was it wouldn't start.
Never did...and every day at or colder it would do it
all the time..... and every day we'd all be out there
pushing it inside ,under the fans ..open the hood
<< bonnet for our english readers>> and let the fans
heat up the motor so it would start.
Ok ... that one solved... still the worse car I was
ever in. HEY!!! A thought from my fertilized mind
Warren... Ask Ray or Bob to take you to that highway
where they do that frog squashing hobby, and see what
happens to a Palio when it attempts to partake in the
hobby of frog squashing...???? hahahahaha
