Hello Dave, and I waited before sending this and others
until I had more to make it interesting. Big shocker today
as when I got to our local station the prices has jumped
from CDN$ 1.24:9/litre to 1.28:9/litre.

The station is Ultramar, and posted is Regular at
CDN$ 1.28:9 ...with an octane of 87. Middle is "Plus"
CDN$ 1.38:9 ...with an octane of 89, and then 'Supreme"
at CND$ 1.42:9/litre. By law, and emissions control
and testing of all vehicles , ethanol was first set at
5% and No notice at the pump whether 5% or the higher
content of 10% ethanol.

All leaded fuels are a thing of the past. Older muscle cars
here either have additives to add to gas in the tank, or
I have heard there is an adjustment to the engine. I had
a 1960s 70s V8 460ccid and it was adjusted to run the newer
fuels. No knock which is something no one wants in their
engine. There is another item and the aditives to the fuel
are in line with the manufacture's specs.

I have no knowledge of aviation fuels, only it is different
from what one throws in the family chariot.

That sounds familar, as I remember in my youth adding additives
and yes today keeping the injectors clean is going to keep
the car operating at it's max ...that is a plus.

Been to all the websites of suppliers and they all have the
same octane levels. Also all the BS on this is better,
and via testing, no real difference. SO I keep with cheapo.
