Hi Warren, and other car buffs....

There has always been a export model and domestic. Sometimes
not a good idea. I noted differences even with the 1950s
Olds and that 1961 model 2dr OLDS super 88 engine, and the
Wonderbar radio, that went clinko when we went north and no
signals ....even with the antenna fully up.

The FM radio was mentioned in relation to the 1960s Wolsley
510C my father got by accident, with the BMC AM-FM radio
which was better then the GM.

My first DX radio was German for listening to DX SWL bands and
my antenna was short, planted with a nail halfway up a tree
which was as far as my dad could put it. The only thing I missed
here which I realized later, was this nail plug to the tree was
something also used to transmit, and made rather famous when
coast watching Australians did this to report Japanese movements
thru the Islands.

I too lost QSL cards, from my 1950s and 1960s, and due to floods
and a fire. Only have the memorys now.

That cheapo Chyrsler 440 was sent to Canada and Toronto because the
people who buy for the police , didn't want what was called the
Alabama Patrol car type...which is the engine you mentioned and
a little more, as designed to be nealy NASCAR.

I have no idea how I know they are there. Just know. Undercovers
are hard, but then I call in when they hangout here.

Never did a marine call, and was only a listener..I covered more
area, and made logs of it, to the extent I had people calling me
for this and that frequency.

They don't need to transmit to find them...if you know what I
mean.
