Nope, it was an Olds engine in the VW bug circa 1958. The guy
sat in the back, with dolly bars out the back. I wasn't
going into JETS again...that is old rehash.

Too bad you can not rememebr the Olds Super 88 and that wonderbar
tuning. Up north due to no stations, we'd get a laugh watching
it search and search until someone got tired and shut the radio
off.

The car was built for an Inspector, and was leather inside with
AM/FM radio. Motor was a sepical for police Austin Healey, and
at night it was a switch for extra hibeams when driving, something
like the aircraft landing lights.

Yeah I saw one in my job with Chrysler. Was sold to a taxi company
by mistake and I had to retrieve it. 440cu inch 4 barrel..nothing
exciting.

Yeah. Thats what I thought living in Toronto, as they told the public
they now had these "X" cars with real motors. I got to see them on
warranty issues etc, and they were not what they were, as the NEWS
people were told. Even my VW fastback could outrun them.

Fury 3s .... no bug deal.

As for the outrunning, radio and spike strips, Anyone wanting to do
something already knows how to get around that. I say give the cops
more radios and computers, as thats how they were tracked when an
operation went down up north.

The people innvloved, just watched and manipulated the police patrol.
They also had safe places to sit when they had to, and supplys and
Intel all night. Was rather fun....
