Hi Ian and all,
I don't remember the displacement of the Monza engine, just that it was a
4cyl OHC Honda FWD transaxle package. The Chevy LT-10 package consisted
of the 350CID engine, the classic Hurst 4 speed gearbox and full posi
rear end, don't remember the ratio.
Ah the DeLorean designed by an ex GM engineer and made in Ireland. They
have such a stash of leftover parts you can have one made IF you have the
bux and a yen for a classic car. Oh, don't forget the power supply, Mr.
Fusion. Love that Mr. Coffee parody!
I think you mean the 5.0l engine that first appeared here in the Ford
Mustang Boss 500. Not quite a 350cid which comes out to 5.7l but
competitors never have the same engine, close but no cigar. That reminds
me of the classic Chevy 6 they called the Blue Flame and billed the '57
Bel Air as the 210. The engine displacement was 213.7 but I guess they
just rounded it off so Americans wouldn't get tongue tied. They don't
make engines like the Blue Flame and whatever they called the 265 and
it's child the 283 anymore, you couldn't kill them if you tried.
