Hello Barry VK2AAB, and others following along ....
Fuel for the chariot <Petrol for the car> is still holding steady
at CDN$ 1.23:9/litre here in town, but elsewhere has popped up more
in the big city Toronto 50miles or so to the south., But that is
not the only reason Barry for this posting today.
In the course of a day, other then the radios, and that ... thank goodness
I can also get out and meet and greet people I know as well those I
don't by just being in the local "chew n choke" for a tea etc.
I put your postings to the test, and I find quite a few agree with you
and they point to the new cars coming into the marketplace, and the
different types of fuels being offered, from the Chevy "Volt" to
a car we posted about that runs on "air".
There are also a few websites that echo your views, as you posted them
from that report removed by the government, which is I guess the same
sort of deal they would do here, as they try to say how wonderful
the Alberta Tarsands are...but from local people and native people
we hear contary.
One item which was interesting, was from the German Ministry of Defence
and might explain too, whi that report was removed, as the German's
built and have in operation U-232. I posted about this boat long
ago, along with buses that run on Hydrogen and are doing ok.
Barry, it all ties into what people see. What the oil companys are
trying to do now, before it all collapses is rake in as much as they
can in these high prices, and if you look at diesel, you see in the
past it was much more cheaper then petrol, and further back before
cars, gas also was a by product of refining and even dumped as there
was no use for it at the time. we have a town here in Ontario where
they had a refinery and well years of dumping petrol into the ground
and a spark oneday, and the town burned and burned.
Funny what you hear in a public place about the very issues that you
post about, as well examples to prove the point you are making.
Makes me happy to keep to being under sail. Never liked stink pots
very limited.
