It is callled "discrimination" Dave, and they would not get away with it
with any other age group. Yes, here too the dreadful crashes we read about
which cause the deaths of drivers and their passengers are mainly with the
young, rarely with the elderly, and it is time that was recognized. The
motor insurance companies have recognized this years ago and the premiums
paid by the elderly are very much lower than those paid by the 17-24 age
group the group which is responsible for the highest rate of fatal
crashes.

BTW we start the assessments at 85.

    Our RTA (Roads and Transport) sent me a letter on my 80th birthday and
asked, did I plan to drive in the future and for how long?
    The cheek of them, so I responded with:
       YES I PLAN TO DRIVE for the NEXT 50 YEARS!!
