Yes I am well aware of that and I think I mentioned that Blunderbus came
from the Dutch in a previous bulletin. We have a large Dutch population in
this town and some of my friends are Dutch. One lady still wears her
klompen around the garden.
During the War the portable toilets used by the Army were called thunder
boxes.
Does my being a retired teacher worry you Warren? You keep coming back to
it time after time.Have you got a thing about teachers? A bad experience?

Leave it to teacher to explain that "blunderbuss" is a Dutch word, not
English. (;->) Just to add my 2c worth, klompen is an appropriate name
for those classic wooden shoes.
