Blunder bus is a mispronunciation of the old 'Thunder Box' which is still
familiar to many people of English descent.
'Thunder ' of course, comes via a lot of changes in pronunciation fron the
Old Norse 'Thor - Thunor' the god of thunder.
'bus' is O Norse for 'box' so we got 'Thunderbus, then Blunderbus for the
old firearm of that name, a primitive shotgun.
Merry Christmas Dave and watch what you eat so you don't need to visit the
thunderbox.
