Hi Warren and Bob, from a member of the "ALL" as WE <me> sit here
or there...or where ever in baited antcipation in the developments
of the BORK n BJORK show.

I am sure in other parts of the world, names folks give to their
vehicles, whether commercial or pleasure and owned by the family.
My great great uncle , used to refer to his truck <lorry> as "Nuitt".
In our family our family car also was named, as well the boats
and yes the RV's ...I think of as "Travel Trailers", but then the
word "trailer" and trailer park, wasn't liked in some areas, so
they are parked mobile homes, etc ...
Maria would not and never agree to me calling it "my" pet name when
we got it minus the CDN$ 45,000 "1929" Pontiac Touring <special order>.
So we ..or well you know why ... the name "Yellow Submarine" as she is
a Big Beattles fan, and the rest is history.
There are plenty of others from what I see with names for their rolling
travel trailers, as well the GM coach special orders.

Agreed. Many ads and used vehicle ads carry the chassis size and this
is how we too address this for licence and insurance... and I guess it
is the same elsewhere ... or not...if not they have a deal.

Hows that ?

Sorry for disecting this passage. I have left it all together ">"
as indicated. Magic words "off road" comes to mind the area where
the 3 & 4 wheel bikes or whatever... ATV comes to mind.
ATV = All Terrain Vehicle.

This is true. We had a 1967 Rambler American by American Motors that,
well then too, how many tow truck drivers I talked to on the CB told
me they sit on the highway or roadway, and drag a towchain into where
Daddy's Toy is stuck. The answer to getting stuck is hesitation
and they nearly stop...when they have to keep speed up, and steer
and this goes in snow too. I have images of the old 61 VW beetle
in the snow...right up to the axles, taking us home thru drifts
and slidding over the rest, with the drive wheels weighted with that
motor pushing us along. I carry a shovel too, but have only used it
once in as many years, and no conveyor belt for me.

I also remember when we were allow studded tires, but then they were
outlawed cuz they damaged the roadway. Ever been where a snowmobile
trail goes across the highway and seen the damage from the snowmobile
treads and you get the reason...but really yeah... careful on what
comes flying out the back, like that belt..or bits of it...with the
studded tires, the studs were coming off and were like bullets.

Yep ... Australia is a whole new ball game when driving out there.
They need a 4WD type vehicle due to the roads and lack of paved areas
and then there is the size that many visitors never consider.
To anyone wanting to visit, I say ... do some real research, and don't
expect to cover it in two weeks... just will not happen. I remember
from YL @WW days when Alf was alive and he and his wife would take off
with their RV, and it wasn't a 2 weeker trip to cover what on the map
seemed a short distance. The map just didn't reflect the true size
of Australia, nor the geography and climate.
Got to get going ... the mob-bubble needs a new light and I have to
get it today, with this mild rain we are getting...if you know what
I mean.
ttfn ... back to the show.
