Of course Bob DID grasp that Pete. The point I was making was that to get
the compressed air there has to be some way of compressing it and that has
to come either from a compressor run from the power mains or from a fuel
run compressor. You don't get FREE AIR.Producing the air comes back to the
production from some other source using a polluting medium such as an oil
derivative, petrol etc.
Using air as a motive medium has other limitations too. You run out of air
some miles from home. Get out Buster and walk cos replenishing your air
tank is gonna be rather difficult.
Either way the air is NOT free. Someone pays. The quality of the air could
be the least of the problems. Wouldn't have much problem in Australia
anyway.
Bob VK6BE.
>hat I don't think Bob has grasped, is the fuel for the vehicle is
"air" ..now how can there be polution. Obviously it is in the
fueling stage of filling the air cell bringing in local air which
is poluted enough. Just don't fill up in some bad locations where
the air quality is bad.
