Hello Warren and others on about Transmitters and Cellphones
being used at the gas stations by motorists.

The only time I ever saw this sign, or regulation was one
brand of fuel, in another town, I used to fuel up at for
my commuting trip to Toronto, when I was working.

Transmitters ? I don't think I use the ham radio or cb
while refueling, but I do notice many using and blabbing
on their cellphones while on Gas Station property, and
ok a few blabbing away to pass the time, while pumping
the fuel. The station operators, watch and turn off
or they don't allow fuel to be pumped ...but this is at
only one station by one brand as far as I know.

When questioned, when I first saw it, they mentioned
company rules, and a off comment was in case of a spark
from the cellphone.... well never seen a cellphone spark
but seen them explode in peoples pocket, which might be
the reason, by not the emission of RF...as it is so so so
low and well there are enough towers up there to give more
then ample service to cell customers.

Price of gas this week has been ... C$ 1.09:6 regular /litre
at my local station. I will have to fill up, and I will
ask him, the owner about this issue, as he has a whole
set of rules to follow now, issued by governments and his
company's upper whatevers.

Oh well thankfully I don't have to fill my GNWB ...
