Eeeeesh, put your bulls on a diet, they're getting FAT! You more than
summed it all up leaving only one thing confusing you, H. G. Welles and
dates. Mixed metaphores there, Welles made reference to the strategic
importance of the British Isles in War Of The Worlds and for what it's
worth the references were changed to fit the location in the movie but
the description of Martian tactics remained true to the book.
