Well Warren according to the reports natural gas resources in West OZ will
last for more than a century and I doubt if any of us will see it out.
Much of it comes from the ocean floor now but there are wells on the
mainland too.By the time they get through those reserves I forecast that
every nation will be using nuclear power.
Then there are other technologies being played with at present. There is
talk of plans to generate from wave power on the south coast here. With a
swell reaching 30+ feet I guess there is plenty of movement in the
Southern Ocean.
It was not the Steve Irwin that got cut in half, it was a small fast boat
which they were using to harrass the whalers. I have not heard any
expressions of sympathy for the greenies here so far except from such as
Bob Brown the Greens boss. . I am sure from what was shown in the news
report on TV that this boat was deliberately sailing across the path of
the whaler and got too close. Now they are blaming the whalers.
I am not much of a supporter of the anti whaling lobby except for not
wishing that any species of whales should become extinct. I don't see much
difference between whaling and running sheep or dairy farms where the
animals are killed for food. When Albany was closed down the catch cry of
the antiwhaling lobby was "The whales suckle their young" as if that was a
good reason to stop the harvesting of whales. What about animals such as
sheep, goats and cows? They suckle their young. But of course many of the
green factions would have us all go vegetarian anyway.If they could the
extreme group would ban the eating of meat.

I have experienced in over 50 years. TWO is not much better.

until gas runs out too, then what? Keep sending it to China and you'll
run out sooner than you think.
