Hello Bob & others

Here is the reply I received this morning from my son's father in law.

>Mercedes built a number of fuel cell buses, at horrendous cost,
well over A$2 million a piece, and then trialled them in various
 cities including London.
I actually travelled on one of them. They work OK but until someone
finds a way of reducing the cost and increasing the durability of the
fuel cell they will remain an interesting experiment.
If hydrogen fuel cells are the future for transport, developing them
in a bus is the most sensible way forward.
When I was involved with all this we reckoned the first practical fuel
cell vehicles wouldn't appear in service until 2025.

I think that says it all Bob, I nice experiment but a back to the drawing
board job.
