No Peter, Australia also has refused to explore the use nuclear energy so
far, but there are signs that that is about to change. Some of the greens
want to cover the whole of the country with solar panels and windmills and
for some years the mining of uhranium was banned. Then one or two mines
were permitted. Now with OZ having about 30% of the world's uranium
deposits, West Australia is being permitted to sart mining.
As far as I am concerned I have always held the view that the use of
nuclear energy is the way out of our current and coming fuel problems.
Fossil fuels will be out, why not use the greenest form of energy
production.
It is unfortunate that the opponents of the use of nuclear power keep
citing the accidents that occurred decades ago in order to oppose the use
of this form of energy production. Not much more than 100 years ago those
who drove one of the new fangled motor cars had to have a man waving a red
flag walking in front of the vehicle. Some of our modern pseudo scientific
persons have still that sort of mentality.
Cheers,
Bob VK6BE.

tibit
that the Government of Brazil, has ordered Buses for the Public
Transport, and they will be put into service ASP.
Might also note too, that Brazil, to my knowledge is the only
country who refused to explore nuclear energy, or have anything
nuclear on it's soil, so this makes a lot of sense, to read
this, when other countrys say they are not exploring it.
