Hi Ray and all,
A bit off topic but what the heck? Having lived with a beekeeper and
tended the hives you can say I know how to use a smoker, remove comb,
extract honey, mind the brood, protect them from Veroa mites and honey
tastes better than sugar. (;->) One VERY important thing to remember if
you have hives in the neighborhood, shower and wear clean clothes when
going out. They hate "animal smell" and may attack, one day I was in a
bit of a hurry to go somewhere and was doubly annoyed by the delay, got
nailed on the forehead by a dive bomber... WHACK!
I guess Hoppy Joe is as good a name as any for those jumping, biting
ants; Ned Kelly had nothing on those lil' buggers. Down south we have
fire ants, don't jump but when they swarm up your leg you know about it.
No matter where you go something bites, stings, hurts one way or another
and doesn't produce one drop of fuel. And Man is the crown of creation,
master of the world? HAH!
More like Food Of The Gods.
