I have just read an article about biofuels for aircraft.
Lots of desperate work going on but not much progress.
The recent flight by Virin Atlantic from London to Amsterdam used the oil of
150,000 cocnuts. If the aircraft had only used the biofuel and no kerosene
it would have needed oil from 1,500,000 coconuts, just for that short flight.

Algae is another source being probed. Catch 22 there is if it was sucessful it
would require ponds the size of Ireland to fuel the current aircraft.
A big problem with algae is that open ponds get contaminated by wild algae
and spoil the brew. The cost of enclosed ponds the size of Ireland is
thought to be prohibitive.

Even if they are sucessful, should the fuel be used to move tourists around
the world by air or should it be used for land transport of food ?

Sell your airline or tourism shares inside the next one to two years.
