Just to add my bit to the fuel saga...
I have seen a mod made to the Air cleaner (Oil pan system) of a carburator
engine as follow...
The oil was removed and replaced with liquid "Naphthalene", which comes
from Moth-balls, the stuff you put in between your clothes, to prevent
moths eating the cotton.
The Moth-balls are added as the liquid evoporates.
This mod works so well, that one has to change/modify the Main running jet,
as the engine runs very, very "Lean"!.
Don't know what changes/reaction when the "Naphthalene" gas mixes with the
fuel gas, but it works!.
Moth-balls are cheaply available from your local Pharmacy ot K-Mart store.
Just a thought!.
