Well, Pete, I have seen a few of these fuel mileage improvers  which were
advertised but never came to anything. I also have seen plenty of comments
that the big oil companies  suppressed the invention of these. If any
gadget could turn water into fuel for an engine I doubt whether any oil
company could keep the secret for very long. I do know that some evices
were tested by our RAC and the the report that came out was that they were
uselesss gadgets that did nothing to improve fuel mileage.

As for carburetters and other engine devices the oil companies would not
be developing anything like that anyway. They would be developed by
engineers and again I doubt whether, with such a potential booster for
their sales, the big car companies would allow such a device to be put
into moth balls.

I don't believe the story about the Nazis and their invention either. Such
an invention would surely have been reinvented by now.
