This is a COPY of an SP that I sent to M5WJF.
My apologies to M1BYT for not sending it to him also and thank you for the
sp.
Thank you to DL1DHN, Pat, for the input to this debate.
I have decided to send this as a bull to make my situation clearer to
those that are interested in solving the problem.
Hi Wayne,
The ROUTER was bought on a recommendation of a G3 who kindly set it up for
me. He was baffled by the problem and gave it up as a bad job after
spending a considerable amount of time trying to crack it. His own Netgear
router worked fine with E'link.
My sysop also gave up on the problem after 3 hours.
The Firewall rules, inbound services, are set for ENABLE E'LINK ALLOW
ALWAYS.
The Services are set for:- E'link ports 5198-5199
E'link1 port 5200
E'link ports 5198-5200
So you see that everything suggested has been tried and the problem
still remains.
The problem not having been solved by two people with far more knowledge
than I have was investigated by me as a last resort.
It was found that by activating the 'disable port scan and DOS protection'
parameter in the WAN setup I was able to use Echolink.
