Hello Ross,
Open your MixW2.ini file and edit it.
Under the [cat] category, you should find the 3 following lines:
         DdeMhzFormat=
         DdeCatFormat=
         DdeKhzFormat=
Make sure statement following the equal sign reads "%.3f" (without the " ")
on all three lines.

I believe this will get you what you want.

Is there a way around this or is this by design? Thanks..

I am having trouble starting Mix2Dxlabs and DxKeeper. I go to
configure default macros. Select the OnStartMixW by doubling
clicking. I am entering <EXEC:C:\MixW\Mix2Dxlabs.exe
<EXEC:C:\Program Files\DxKeeper\Dxkeeper.exe

I can see the macro in the default ini file. When I close and start
MixW, the Mix2Dxlabs starts, but Mix reports that it can't start
DXkeeper. When I manually run the three programs they interoperate
quite well. I assume there is something I am missing in entering the
macro. I have tried with both entries on one line with no space and
with a space (< <) and (<<). I have tried two lines. I see in
some example macros a double vertical bar which seems like a
separator but don't see anything in the help files to indicate what
this is or how to get it. Where am I going wrong?

Take a look at DXKeeper.exe and see how it is capitalized I believe that is your problem it should be DXKeeper.exe Plus place them on separate lines...

Ed, Mine works great. Below is what I have in the onstart macro.

<EXEC:C:\Program Files\MixW\Mix2Dxlabs.exe
<EXEC:C:\Program Files\DXKeeper\DXKeeper439.exe
This works for me.

Subject: auto cq not working

Sent the following out 3 or 4 days ago, receiving only one response, who was also having similar problem. Does anyone have any ideas what to do/look at next? Danny

Suddenly this afternoon, my auto cq and four other macro button labels were blank, in the CW mode.. The second and a couple of other Macros were still labeled and worked ok. The blank label button texts were also empty.
I added the proper texts, relabeled and re-colored the buttons, and they all work well, except the autocq (number one button). The <AUTOCQ text is in the proper window (( following Options, AUTOCQ, Text then typing in CQ DX CQ DX ....ETC.. The delay is set for 7 seconds and the "watch squelch" command is unticked. I can click on F1, or press the key, and the CQ text transmits properly, but then I sit, and sit, and sit, and the auto sequence never repeats , never mind the 7 second delay setting. Thi
s auto cq command works in all modes except in CW.

I wiped the CW macro out completely, and went into other modes and reset them with the default "for all modes". Again, all modes worked, except CW. Have never had a problem with this before, and dont know why it suddenly changed during this session. I also have completely cancelled out of Mixw (newest ediition) and come back up several times. What now?
Danny

DD Thanks

In MIXW 2.14 click "MODE" - "MODE SETTINGS" and set "baudrate" 31,25 62,5 or 125 to run suitable speed.

Hello Danny:
All the above is correct, you will find a list under mode
settings. However you are not limited to these settings, so if
you and another station decide to insert BPSK 115, it will work,
as long as you and the other station are on the same settings.
I have worked BPSK up to speeds of 600, but that requires an
interferrence (noise free) part of spectrum, say VHF/UHF FM.

Every day seems to bring me a new feature in MixW, it's great. Been
reading the messages and notice some users appear to be using

interface, can someone send me in a direction on how to set it
up..web site or instruction file. Thanks for any advice and help. 73's Steve K3WKM - Rock Hall, MD

A number of MixW users choose to use DXKeeper to provide logging and
award tracking. You might try DXLabs suite and see if you ike the
programs. The suite is free. There is a Yahoo group "Dxlab". The
program to couple MixW to DXKeeper is Mix2Dxlabs.exe. You can
download it from this sites files section or from the DXlabs Yahoo
group files section. I like MixW for operating. I like the award
tracking in DXKeeper better than MixW. Not that MixW is bad. ITs
quite good. But I have 8000 DX Qsos and 2000 old VHF DX Qsos in
DXKeeper. I can use the database features to findout almost anything.

To get DXlabs, don't use the official web site on QSL.net. IT is
slow enough to be painful. Please try
http://dxlab.ky1v.com/info/download.htm or
http://www.dxlab.haybay.net. Get the "archive" version and the
latest "update" version. Install the Archive version and then
install the update. You may want to rename the archive version of
DXKeeper to DXKeeper.old and change the name of the update version
from DXKeeperxxx.exe to DXKeeper.exe.

Run MixW , then run Mix2Dxlabs.exe, and then DXKeeper.exe. You can
automate this on startup of MixW but I haven't gottern that working
yet. The interworking works quite well. I think yoou can also
couple MixW to DXATLAS in a similar fashion.

Hope this helps! 73 Ed K3SWJ
