Hi,

Many thanks in advance for reading my message.

If you connect to R0MIR-1 you will qualify for a Mir QSL card and that is
where your problems will begin !

In November 1998 and January 1999 I sent off for a MIR QSL card from
Radio - Club, "F5KAM" QSL Manager de R0MIR, Carrefour International de la
radio, 22 Rue Bansac - 6300 - Clermont - Ferrand - France, which is the
European address for Mir QSL cards. To this day I have received nothing
Mir QSL card wise from the above address.

I have sent out countless bulletins on packet about this, I have e-mailed
F5KAM, and months later still wait for a reply, I have spoken to the
R.S.G.B. and Radcom and also to WA6LIE who is involved in sending out Mir
QSL cards outside Europe and I'm still no closer to receiving one. I
really find this to be most annoying because we're all supposed to be in
the hobby of communication and there seems to be a lack of it here. In a
few months time the irc's that I posted off with a QSL card request will
be worthless unless of course they have already been cashed, which
unfortunatly I think is the case here.

So fellow Mir fans in Europe beware of the above QSL address which is
constantly being sent out on packet because once you've sent off for your
Mir QSL card you will be in for at least a 10 Month wait and will find
communication with the dead easier than getting any updates on what's
really going on.

73's and Happy Tracking de Simon, M1AMK @ GB7SUN in Sunny Portsmouth,
England.
