I have noticed some messages referring to MIDI files.
Am I right in presuming this is about sending music files on packet.

If this so then those sending owe it to the BBS sysops to ensure that the
music is in the public domain.
I have seen reference to ABBA music and I think that would be very much
covered by copyright.

Please note our licence does not permit us to use it to break the law Federal
or State.
Considering the uproar and legal actrions on the internet about music files it
does not seem like a good idea to put music on the packet network.

I read recently where the Performing Rights organisation have web crawlers
looking for music. They would only have to come accross one of our internet
forwarders to really set the cat amoung the pigeons.
