Hello fellow music-lovers,

Do you have (a) synthesizer(s) with MIDI connectors and refuse to pay huge
amounts of money for MIDI cables? Make them yourself! Here's the 'schematic'.

        2 MIDI cable:
     _______
 4 / o \ 5 (optional) 1------2 (optional)
   / o o \ (optional) 2------1 (optional)
1 | o o | 3 GND (sheilding) 3------3 GND (sheilding)
   \ / Forward current 4------5 Reverse current
\___๏___/ Reverse current 5------4 Forward current
 DIN connector

As you can see, a MIDI cable is reversable. Also, MIDI is serial data,
transported with current, not voltage. I would recommend to keep your
cables shorter than approx. 5 metres.
The two connactions marked (optional) were measured when determining a KORG
MIDI cable, but I can't find these pins in any MIDI standard or schematic.
Maybe KORG makes use of them, so I've connected them in my cables also...

Have MIDI fun ! (upload a MIDI file, if you think it's nice. MIDI files are
relatively short for the time of music they produce...)
