I was asked to help an amteur friend with the installation of XPCOM 1.55
to his 286 Clone for his MFJ-1278.
MFJ-1278 performs properly in ARQ with standard communication programmes.
XPCOM 1.55 performs properly in ARQ with PK-232.
With XPCOM and this MFJ-1278 release 3.4 ARQ becomes a ONE WAY mode as it
performs normally as Information Resceiving Station up to the +? from
the Information Sending Station when the link drops.
After a forced CHANGE and when I send the +? the link drops.
ARQ Selcalls from this MFJ-1278 and XPCOM 1.55 look all right in ARQ Lis-
ten on AMT-1 and on PK-232 but the signal does NOT synchronise to the IRS
How does Your MFJ-1278 and XPCOM perform on ARQ ?
MFJ-1278 generates its hash just in the middle of the Amtor/Pactor portion
of 40 and 20 meters, but this is another story.
