Hello John,
Those letters are normally shown by a device that doesn't
understand extended ASCII characters. I would say that those
letters represent lines. Try checking if you have 8bit packet
turned on in Your MFJ.
The commands for my MFJ are: 8BITCONV ON and AWLEN ON
If you type these commands without the "ON" parameter, your TNC
should return the current setting to the screen.
I get these letters if I display a text file with lines in Windows
Notepad.
There are various funny characters that do odd things. For example,
those little double arrows at the top right of this message will
prevent Norton Commander showing anything after them in "File View".
