ZS6PVW/TPK 1.83d Msg N§:10269 Date:16-05-2000 Time:21:52 SAST (-2 for UTC)
Hi all.
Our club BBS (ZS0DLD), is operating with its TNC's in WA8DED HOSTMODE.
One TNC is a homebrew TNC with a WA8DED 2.5 Eprom, another TNC is a
MFJ-1270b with a WA8DED 2.6 Eprom and the third is a MFJ-1270b with a
TF-27b Eprom.
These TNC's and FBB 7.00g works quite well with the WA8DED HOSTMODE Eproms.
The club have obtained a MFJ-1270c TNC. I installed a TF-27b Eprom. It
worked for a minute or two, then it stopped working. I then tested it in
Winpack 6.51 with the TF-27b setting. It did exactly the same. It
connects to the BBS, but after a few seconds, Winpack said that it lost
communication with the TNC....
When I am using the MF-1270c with its original Eprom (Version 2.2), with
TPK 1.83d, it work fine. I am sending this bulletin with it....
Do you have any suggestions ?? Is there a newer HOSTMODE Eprom available
than the TF-27b that I have tried to use ?? If there is a newer version of
the WA8DED Eprom available, will it work with the MFJ-1270c ??
Where can I get two of these Eproms ??
Thanks in advance.
