Greetings,
Many thanks for taking the time to read my plea for help.
I have a MFJ-1224 RTTY/CW Computer interface unit and would like to
be able to send and receive RTTY by interfacing my IBM PC via the
RS-232 serial port (DB-9 nine pin connector) to my Yaesu FT-990 thru
the RTTY connector at the rear.
Would anybody have the following information:
1. What are the pin outs from the MFJ-1224 to the pin outs on the
DB-9 on the PC?
2. What are the pin outs from the MFJ-1224 to the pin outs on the
RTTY connector on the FT-990?
3. What software do I require? (DOS base preferably)
4. CAN ANY OF THE ABOVE BE ACCOMPLISHED AND IF SO WILL IT WORK ON CW
THRU THE RTTY CONNECTOR?
Please if you have an answer to any of the above questions, even if
it is only to one of the questions, I would be very grateful for any
information I can gather.
