Hi Pete and all,

I think you may have misunderstood, my poor choice of words. 16 is
primary calling and distress while 9 is secondary calling officially. I
called 9 primary for small craft as it's intended purpose is to keep the
"CBers" off 16. They still have a bad habit of calling radio check on 16
and the USCG yells back and tells them it's done on 9. I guess my old
rock bound Sonar brick HT is obsolete (and probably doesn't work anymore
anyway).

Yup, channel assignments are a bit different on inland waterways too but
it's been a long time since I bothered to look them up. I only have a few
programmed in the scanner for USCG, bridges, intership safety and such
important stuff, I don't want to be bothered by all that nonsense chatter
and routine commercial traffic. Yup, lots of fishing boats but the only
thing I care to listen to is if another numskull screws up and sinks at
the mouth of the inlet. Yeah, we had two this summer, no collisions, just
sinkings. DUH!

Something in Chinese like maybe sum dum gai? That reminds me of some of
these macho guys I see around with the Japanese tattoos, probably
translates to "American idiot think this cool" and "armpit hair nest for
lice".

Speaking of Audrey 2, we have an Audrey around here without the 2. I
started a trend, now we call her Granny after The Beverly Hillbillies.
Yup, she's Granny alright that lovable old witch, even has that same
sideways look of fake anger and punches me on the arm when I bust her
chops.

For no good reason at all...
