INTERNATIONAL MUSEUMSHIP RADIO EVENT 2006
Well after finally concluding things from last years event, the BNJARS "The Battle-
ship New Jersey Amateur Radio Station" did decide the following dates and times for the
2006 Museum Ships Event:
June 03rd 00:01 Z to June 04th 23:59 Z
As every year we do expect the participation of naval ships, lightships, steamships,
research vessel and merchant ships. The MF-Runde will also try to participate with different
ships and boats as the freighter "CAP SAN DIEGO" (DL 0 MFH), the minesweepers "PLUTO" (DF 0 MV)
and "DENEB" (DL 0 MFF), the salvage tug "SEEFALKE" (DK 0 SN), the research vessel "VITYAZ"
(R 2 MWO) and the minelayer "KEIHÄSSALMI" (OI 1 AXA).
Further more we hope to meet the submarine "U9" (DK0SP), freighter "FRIEDEN" ex. "DRESDEN"
(DL 0 MCM) and the famous german lightvessel "ELBE 1" (DL 0 CUX). Interesting international
ships as the aircraft carrier USS "LEXINGTON" (W 5 LEX) and the battleship USS "NORTH CAROLINA"
(NI4BK) resp. the british cruiser HMS "BELFAST" (GB 2 RN) will take part. NCS will be in 2006
the american battle ship USS "NEW JERSEY" (NJ 2 BB) QTH Camden/New Jersey.
For further details (QRG´s etc.) pse see New Jersey-website! This year a certificate will be
issued to anyone who contacts at least 15 of the participating ships.
All stations that work at least 15 of the participating ships will receive a certificate if
they send a copy of their log entries showing these contacts.
Certificate is 8.5 X 11. Please either send US $2.00 to cover costs or send a large enough
envelope with enough postage. Certificates should not be folded.
All certificate requests must be received by Oct 31, 2006.
