Hello all reading the Healthcare plans from here to there;
Our National Healthcare Plan was passed by the National Government
but running it was given to the Provinces, and they were given
the option to have it or not.
I live in Ontario, so I know it as OHIP. Over the years I have
watched it being chiselled away at by non other then business
and as a result I had to via my job take out extra Insurance
to cover or help my OHIP along.
I see Barry in OZ has posted some figures, so thats ok with me
to do the same where it is OHIP or relates to OHIP.
The first money taken from me for OHIP is during the time I am
making out my annual Income Tax, sending it into the tax centre
and of course big smiles when I get a refund. At this time it
is a one time payment to OHIP of $ 336.00 and of course
monthly my employee plan now a retiree of $ 82 /month.
As you mentioned Barry , we too get covered the same as you.
Oh well ... All I can say is....Iam gald they have it in CANADA.
