Hi Ian I sent you an earlier comment on our Health scheme here as a PN,
but as I saw no reply or comment, I wondered if the PN was routed to you
ok?
We do have a few local problems with PN's and in particular to Barry AAB
where I have had no relies?
So below is what I sent as the PN Ian!

Hi Ian, and yes we do have 'Medicare' a Commonwealth funded health scheme
here, that we pay for via an individual % income tax.
This scheme gives free public hospital cover if you can put up with a 1 -
2 years wait for elective surgery.
Anything other than if you are nearly dying and admitted by ambulance is
classed as elective surgery. This is ridiculous as many have a worn out
hips etc that stops them from working or walking!
It does not cover dental and old folk end up with no teeth, even pulling
them out with pliers etc ouch!
Our Medicare subsidises prescriptions, but one has to pay some $5 each
and I take about 5 verities.
Ok Ian, I hope you get this Pmail but generally these days a bulletin get
there quicker!

PS, your old sparing partner Bob VK6BE is ok, but doing a lot of social
work these days and not getting time for packet!

Re silly laws etc Ian, as seen in the newspaper today, a judge just
decided that calling a policeman a 'prick', was acceptable language and
dismissed the case brought by police!

PS I see the USA use the term MEDIACARE for their expensive Pay system, as
against our largely free one!
