It is even more verbal in the FidoNet where about anyone
can post messages. No constructive debate of Obama's
Medicare bill, which passed by the skin on the teeth.
Barry, as I read your explaination of your system, I can
only say we have systems that are funded by the Federal
Government that passed the bill, and left it to the
Provinces to opt out. All stayed with it.
Our system is called OHIP in Ontario. It is funded
based on the Income Tax paid yearly to the Federal
Government. Somewhere I have what is paid by each
group of taxpayers.
We do get to choose our Doctor and also hospital.
No Dental is not a part of the plan, and I am waiting
for the party that is going to support that.... Even
the party that traces it's roots back to the MP that
proposed the bill and got it passed hasn't touched
that one.
Currently too Pharmacist prescriptions are $ 9.00
and it looks like they are in a fight right now
as always the OHIP is under attack.

Funny Barry...I remember that too, and before, and it
always comes down to well done ads about selling out the
USA to Communism .... the REDS are coming.... Etc.
Mr. Clinton is not the only one to propose it...
Interesting.... I wonder how far we can talk about this
system and compare countrys. I will look up the
table in the Income Tax forms if I can and if anyone
is interested.
