Hello Wayne,
Actually the Cochlear implant was invented buy a medical scientist
in Sydney, whose name I cannot remember, and the Cochlear Pty Ltd company was
founded to produce his invention. This company is today the major
manufacturer of these implants and is traded on the Sydney Stock Exchange.
