The 10m Band
Hello Sun spots my old friends
Its good to see you all again
And the return of DX on 10FM
Around the earth and travel back again.
And the F2 is inonising like in 96
we're shooting skip.
Out on the band of silence.
And its true we are immune
as crackling static sings its tune.
listening for calls from very far away
out of the noise appears the first VK
And the voice that at first sounded very thin
now booming in.
All on the band of silence.
And its true we are consumed
As Morse code softly plays its tune.
A gentle hiss and some fast beeping
A contact schedule that we're now keeping
and we're happy to bow down to our solar god
You're in the log!
All on the band of silence.
And its true we were amazed
To the Solar gods we prayed.
giant solar flares vastly creeping
The sun spot count is rapidly peaking
But the cycle is just one made up in our head
The Band is dead.
All on the Band of Silence.........
