Hi There,
Over the last 7 days, I have purchased Suse 8.0 Boxed with manuals œ5GBP!,
Mandrake 9 œ7GBP no manuals, Red Hat 8 œ5GBP no manuals, and have
downloaded Red Hat 9 and Mandrake 9.1 from the web.
My plans are to run a Linux server in the next few weeks, but what I would
like to know is which version is the best version?
Cheers for any info...

Well the whole of GB7YFS runs on a single Suse8 Pro 450Mhz Machine. If that
helps. It handles everything for me here.
Internet gateway
Firewall
Proxy server
DHCP server
DNS server
smtp, pop3, nntp servers
Apache web server
FBB
All ham related IP services
IPYFS Node
Convers server
Web services (webmail, Webnews, Webconvers)
All ham I/O ports (ax25, IP & Netrom)
The list does go on.
If you need any help just shout.
