Swiss HTC QRP Sprint
Organizer: HTC - Helvetia Telegraphy Club, Switzerland
Objectives: Activate the HF bands with QRP and give hams the opportunity to
work stations towards earning USKA diplomas (e.g. H26 – Worked all Cantons).
Date and Time: Every 2nd Saturday in September, 13:00 - 18:59 UTC.
Participants: Open to ALL licensed amateur radio operators, in particular QRP
ops.
Operating: Contacts in CW (A1A) on the following frequencies: 3.520 - 3.560
7.020 - 7.040 14.020 - 14.060 kHz. Work stations only once per band.
Entry Classes: VLP Very low power (milliwatters) with max. 1 watt output QRP
classic QRP stations with max. 5 watts output QRO all other stations with more
than 5 watts output
Contest Call: CQ HTC TEST
Exchange: RST / class / canton, province, DOK, PC (postal code) etc. / first
name e.g. 579/QRP/BS/Max or 569/VLP/C12/Gerd
Note regarding PC: UK stations use the first letter(s) of their postal code
(e.g. BS for Bristol and surroundings, S for Sheffield, etc.). All other
stations use the first two letters of their QTH.
QSO Points: Each complete QSO is scored as follows: Contact with a VLP station
3 points. Contact with a QRP station 2 points. Contact with a QRO station 1
point. Contacts with stations whose logs are not submitted will be scored as a
contact with a QRO station.
Final Score: The sum of all QSO points multiplied by the class bonus. VLP x 3,
QRP x 2, QRO x 1 determines the final score.
Logs: A sample log sheet and the official summary sheet are available for
download at www.htc.ch or can be obtained from the contest manager. Please use
only the official summary sheet.
Results: Only one complete list, ranking all participants, will be created.
This list of results will be published on the HTC home page and in the USKA
magazine “HB-Radioö. Participants who supply a SASE (self addressed stamped
envelope) with their submission will get a list of rankings sent to them
directly.
Awards: Certificates will be awarded to the top three stations.
Log Submission: All log entries must be received 30 days after the contest.
Logs not received within this time will be considered only as check logs.
Electronic logs are welcome but are not mandatory. Forms can be downloaded from
www.htc.ch .
