The Great Colorado Gold Rush

July 19, 2009

It was 1859 before CW. It was 1859 before spark. It was 1859 before our time
was taken away with "reality" television, DVD's, cell phones, and email. It
was 1859 before daylight saving time. Take a moment to relax and enjoy the
"real" world. This mid-summer event might just build your WAS, DXCC, and
provide you with some operating pleasure. Be a part of history! Are you
certified at 65 WPM? Good for you. Are you happy at 8 WPM? That is just fine
too. Just get on and work someone!

Nuts 'n Bolts:

                        (Sunday afternoon, North America)

Mode: CW only.

Call: try CQ CGR

Power: 5 W maximum.

Classifications:

W - WIRE: single element wire; including dipoles, random wires, Zepp,
doublets, inverted V, slopers, single element loops, inverted L, etc.

V - VERTICAL: verticals; including single element, ground plane, trapped

Multiple contacts:

The same station may be worked up to three times during the contest,
provided a minimum of 30 minutes has elapsed
since the last QSO with the same station.

Scoring:

3 points for first contact with a station.
2 points for second contact with the same station.
1 point for third contact with the same station.

100 points, one time only, for working club station WØCQC. The second
contact with WØCQC, after half an hour,
is 2 points, while the third contact is worth 1 point (Al Dawkins, KØFRP,
will be operating club station WØCQC from
    Colorado during the contest...).

Multipliers:

All multipliers count once. Multipliers are SPC’s and CQC members worked.

Final Score:

QSO Points x SPC x CQC Members = Total Score.

Logs:
Submit logs showing time, callsign worked, exchange, and QSO points for each
station worked, show totals of multiplier points.

    Example:
