2009 NEBRASKA QSO PARTY (NQP)
Official Rules
Begins 1700 UTC - April 25, 2009       Ends 1700 UTC - April 26, 2009

OBJECT: 	Stations outside of Nebraska work as many Nebraska stations and NE
counties as possible. Stations in Nebraska work everyone. 	
EXCHANGE: 	Stations outside of Nebraska send signal report and State, Canadian
Province, or DXCC Country. Stations in Nebraska send signal report and county.
	
MODE: 	Modes of operation are CW, Phone (SSB, AM, FM, etc) and Digital (RTTY,
PSK, etc.) Only one contact per station per mode per band is permitted. 	
QSO POINTS: 	Phone contacts are worth 1 point. CW and Digital contacts are
worth 2 points. 	
MULTIPLIERS: 	Stations outside of Nebraska count Nebraska counties for a
maximum of 93. Stations in Nebraska count Nebraska counties, US States outside
of Nebraska, Canadian Povinces, and DXCC Countries. Nebraska Mobiles operating
on a county line must make a seperate contact for every county they are working
from. 	
POWER FACTOR: 	Power Factor based on transmitter Power Output. If all QSOs are
made using QRP (5 watts or less), multiply QSO points by 3; using less than 150
watts, multiply by 2; all else multiply by 1. 	
FINAL SCORE: 	Stations outside Nebraska and Nebraska fixed stations multiply
total QSO points by Power Factor by Total Multipliers. Nebraska mobile stations
count total qso points by by Power Factor by Total Multipliers for each county
operated from. Nebraska mobiles add a bonus of 50 points for every county in
which a minimum of 10 contacts is made. 	
FREQUENCIES: 	160, 80, 40, 20, 15, 10, 6 and 2 meters. WARC band contacts do
not count. Suggest CW on +/- 1.805 and 35 kHz up from band edge; Phone on +/-
1.915, 3.865, 7.265, 14.265, 21.365, 28.465, 146.460 MHz; Novices use 10 kHz
from band edge and 28.460. Please be aware of others, and QSY to avoid QRM. 	
CATEGORIES: 	Single-operator (SO), Multi-op-Single-transmitter (MS), and Mobile
(M). For Club Competition enter club name on Summary Sheet (a minimum of 3 logs
is required to qualify for club competition). 	
MISCELLANEOUS: 	Nebraska mobile stations that change counties are considered to
be a new station and may be contacted again for point and multiplier credit.
Nebraska Mobile stations should sign with their callsign/county. No cross-mode
contacts permitted. No repeater contacts are permitted. All contacts must be
simplex. MCW is not permitted. All CW contacts must be in the CW sub-bands
except on 160 meters. 	
ENTRIES: 	Received deadline for all entries is May 31, 2009 regardless of how
sent. Late entries are not accepted. Logs with over 100 contacts are encouraged
to submit their log in electronic format. There are two ways to submit logs: 	
	(1) E-Mail: Log must be an ASCII file following ARRL suggested Standard File
Format or in Cabrillot Format, and contain all log information including band,
mode, date, UTC time, station worked, and exchange sent/received. Summary must
include all information as requested on official NQP paper summary. Log and
summary sheet are to be e-mailed as attachments to nqp@hdxa.net

(2) Regular Mail: Paper logs and signed Summary Sheets must be submitted to
HDXA NQP, 16111 Hickory St, Omaha, NE, 68130. 	
	A signed summary sheet is required with all entries. Electronic signatures are
allowed for e-mail submissions. Results will be posted on HDXA's web site at
www.hdxa.net when results are certified as final. 	
AWARDS: 	Plaque & Certificates will be issued as follows: 	
	(1) Plaque: One for overall high score.
(2)Certificates: (Will be awarded via log submission format).
     Nebraska Entries - Top in each each Entry Class in each county, and Top
Mobile in State
     Non-Nebraska Entries - Top in each each Entry Class in each State
Province, and DXCC Country. 	
CONDITION of ENTRY: 	Entrants agree to be bound by these rules and their
intent, the regulations of their licensing authority, and the decisions of the
Nebraska QSO Party Contest Committee.
