The Montana QSO Party!
The Montana QSO Party, Sponsored by the Flathead Valley Amateur Radio Club
will be held this April 3rd starting at 6:00PM MDT (0000Z), and end April 5th
at 5:59PM MDT (2359Z).
Modes: Phone/CW/Digital
Frequencies: 160 meters-70 cm.
Categories: Fixed and Mobile/Portable.
Exchange: RST and S/P/C or MT county.
Score: QSOs × S/P/C or MT counties (counted only once).
Repeaters and IRLP permitted.
Bonus points:
10 bonus points for each MT mobile station worked.
10 bonus points for each MT QRP stations. (QRP power must be given)
100 bonus points for each MT mobile station on a lake or lake/river shoreline
(location must be specified)
100 bonus points for each MT station in a national or state park. (location
must be specified)
In response to some questions I received about the MT QSO party, operating FROM
a park or shoreline gets YOU the 100 bonus points. Contacting another park or
shore station gets you another 100 points. Stations working your park or shore
station get 100 points. Contacts to another station operating QRP or mobile are
10 points EACH CONTACT.
So the log would look like this;
QSO's x state/province/country OR MT counties.
Plus 100 points x total number of PARKS
Plus 100 points x total number of SHORE stations
plus 10 points x total number of QRP stations.
Plus 10 points x total number of MOBILE stations.
Equals total score.
Logs due May 31! (Cabrillo format)
