40m - what a farce !

Quite how any sanity can prevail in the latest contest.

For a start no one can use CW because every US station is listening for
europeans in the CW segment.

There's a broadcaster on 7.010Mhz for good measure.

The rest of the world is listening it seems anywhere above 7.2Mhz.

There's wall to wall broadcasters from 7.100 - 7.580Mhz.

Everyone is working split frequency - that's two channels used up for
each QSO in the contest because of the continued lack of regional agreement
for the 40m amateur band.

CW ?

PSK31?

RTTY ?

Not a trace of it due to the above farce.

40m must rate as the biggest administrative cock up in the history of
frequency planning !
