Well the bands might have been alive in the northern hemisphere but there
was not much sign of life here.
The best I heard was one day when there was what appeared to be a W6 on
28, very weak and unable to identify positively but the time of day would
indicate W6. There were also the beacons VK8VF and VK2RSY the former at
good strength, so it seems the band was open in VK, but there was noone
around.
There was a weak JA on 21, and nothing on 14.
I have been scanning 50 megs every day; so far no sporadic E and no F2.
144?? No local activity, but maybe we will get some tropo into Adelaide or
Mt Gambier when the weather warms up.
